Mr. & Mrs. Paul Maurer

We had a blast celebrating the marriage of Elizabeth and Paul at the Popponesset Inn in Mashpee a couple weekends ago. Congrats to them both!

I’ve been posting a lot via Twitter & Facebook about Hurricane Irene and how it affected Vermont; how it was both a heavy experience to witness the destruction and amazing to witness the spirit of people as they reclaim what was taken in the resulting floods. What I haven’t written about much was why I was in VT in the first place, and that was to celebrate & photograph the wedding of two friends (and fellow SMC alums) Jill Kasierski and Jay Charest. These two were a great couple to photograph and I’m very happy they chose to share this special life event with me and Monica, who was assisting me from Eve Event Photography for the day.

rain, rain, go away.

Despite the torrential sheets of rain that forced us to move the ceremony indoors and loss of power (which caused a scramble to find a working outlet for hair dryers), these two, and everyone who was able to attend the celebration for that matter, wouldn’t let a little wind & rain get them down. Here’s a little look at the party that ensued.

Jill & Jay celebrated their wedding at Sugarbush Resort in Vermont. I can’t say enough how awesome the staff (Tiffany Bailey & co.) were during the extended power outages. They pulled together a great event despite the weather.

Of note, the power did come back on 10 minutes before the start of the ceremony and lasted until 10 minutes before the reception was to conclude, so we were able to party with the lights & music on.

Congrats to Jill & Jay

After a busy weekend I had a quick second to post a photo (or two) from the CD release party of Matt Koelsch & The Allies that went down at Tommy Doyles in Harvard Square in Cambridge, MA last Thursday. If you like good music, check ‘em out HERE.

I had the awesome pleasure of photographing the wedding of Patty Walsh & Rich Pfeiffer a couple weeks ago at the Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center in Cambridge, MA. Here’s a few (& I stress a few ) of my favorites from the evening.

I loved Patty's (& Rich's) choice in type.

If you’d like to view a few more photos, I’ve recently created a 500px.com account and have posted a few from this event there as well. Click HERE to go to that website. In addition to these photos, I had a remote camera setup as a “photobooth.” If you were at Rich & Patty’s wedding and are interested in a print, you can find those located HERE. Best,

Dan
